I've never had any problems with bet365, probably helps that i'm down on there overall.
worst in my experience are Ladbrokes & paddypower.

I know 100's that love a punt... some do it daily.. some do it weekends (like myself).. some do it annually (Grand national etc) ... I know of one bloke who has what I call a serious problem (as mentioned below)... is it a buzz... yeah of course it is... but I can quite happily get that same buzz' watching a race with no money on it... no different than going to watch West ham, or going for a night out with the lads or looking forward to a nice rack of ribs...

I've only watched the 1st and half the 2nd episode but for a tipster I'm shocked at how much of a poor gambler he is

Even the Racing Post editor looks like a dirty tramp.
I love a bet but would never put my wife, kids house, car, holidays or dog on the line.
It's a mugs game but I'd rather spend £20 on a game bet for 90 mins entertainment than £20 going to the cinema to watch a shit film.

But if it wasn't betting it would be something else . Drink , drugs etc etc . I bet nearly every day but I also pay all my bills . It really is quite simple .... If you can't afford to lose , don't bet ! These are adults we are talking about . Bookies are more socially responsible now than ever before but you also have to realise they are no different to tescos etc . They are there to make money !

The authorities reckon there could be as many as 500,000 problem gamblers in the UK. I reckon the true number is likely to be way higher than that. That's basically.1 out of every 120 people has a problem with gambling. I'd be Suprised if the number wasn't closer to 1 in 40 or 50. People that bet every day, even just a few quid, still have a problem in my opinion. People bet because it gives them a buzz; it's a chemical release that they are addicted to. I don't think gambling needs to wreck your marriage before you would be considered a problem gambler. I think it becomes a problem when you vet because you want to feel the rush / thrill, not because you have got a strong hunch

Bloke in my pool team has got a bit of a problem.
Turned up 2 hours late the other week because he was in the bookies.
When he's in the pub he's always on the fruit machines
2 weeks ago when it was his game up he'd disappeared. He was found in Ladbrokes.
We would fuck him off but he's a decent player :(

100% agree... got a MATE who is in a right mess... have remortgaged his house up to the hilt... divorced... alcoholic... knocked MATES left right and centre...looking to get in the priory... but... it's everyone else's fault... only people he has never blamed is the Jockeys!!

Agree he was vulnerable to them, but in effect the change in the law mugged him by making it so easy.

Dr Congo ; your mate didn't lose his marriage , home etc to the machines ! He lost it to his inability to deal with life . Neither the machine nor the bookie made him do it , it was his choice . When will people stop blaming everyone but themselves !

Sydney - they said one reason there are so many shops is because they are only allowed four machines per branch and they are so profitable it's worth opening another branch to get round it. Coral's who they featured in Huddersfield had two branches 70 yards apart.

i had to do a double take on that, dead ringer though for the beast, unless he never sleeps, he did a series on markets around the world, was quite entertaining, in New York trying to sell jellied Eals to the Septics and hes eating most of them himself! ends up having to sell them at a big loss to some Asian, about the only person prepared to buy them.
Enjoyed this betting series so far, good show but shocked at how many bookie there are in the UK now, fucking everywere!

Biggest couch spuds ever those dogs... if you are a lazy sod and don't like walking much than a greyhound is the dog for you.... my MATES Greyhound actually walked back to the car after a 30 min walk as it could not be arsed anymore... ag ag ag
